Although we can’t deny how wonderful a full set of shellac is, eventually there will be a time that they have to be removed. Whatever the reasons might be, questions usually pop up in your mind such as if the removal be quick or clean. The answer is both. There are numerous benefits associated with hiring a salon professional to remove the Shellac nail polish rather than trying to remove it yourself. The manicure professionals at most nail salons possess the superior training and essential equipment required to successfully remove the polish from your fingernails and to prevent your nails from incurring any damages during the process.

Description

Shellac Removal is so simple that it can be done at home. But for your safety and the condition of your nails, it’s best done by professional because we know which method of removal is best for your nails depends on their condition.

The professional usually removes the Shellac nail polish by placing cotton soaked in a 99 percent concentration of acetone on your fingernail and wrapping it in aluminum.

The Shellac Removal process takes 4 steps:

Step 1: Soaking - Fill a shallow bowl with acetone. Pure acetone will have the strongest effect, but acetone nail polish removers will also work as long as the concentration of acetone is around 60 percent or more. Soak your nails in the acetone. Keep it there for 10 minutes.

Step 2: Scrape the shellac polish off - After 10 minutes, remove your nails from the acetone and scrape the flaking Shellac off with an orange stick or manicure stick.

Step 3: Wash your hands - Use warm water and soap to gently remove the acetone and Shellac residue from your hands.

Step 4: Apply lotion and more cuticle oil - Rub a generous amount of hand lotion over both hands when finished. Also rub additional cuticle oil around your fingernails. Lotion and cuticle oil will help restore some of this lost moisture, and applying them immediately after washing your hands will produce the strongest effect.
